Journey to Kindergarten / Kindergarten Open House for the 2024-2025 school year will be held on Monday, March 18th, from 6:00-8:00 at each of our 9 Warren elementary schools. This kickoff event provides our newest students and families the opportunity to pre-register for the 24-25 school year, take a tour of their new school, meet their teachers and ask questions about the upcoming school year. Our Warren Early Childhood Center will also have an event this evening from 6:00 - 8:00 for preschool students.

Attention 2nd and 3rd Grade Students and Families: 2nd and 3rd graders across the District will be taking the IREAD3 assessment from March 4 - 15. This assessment is used to measure foundational reading skills based on Indiana Academic Standards through 3rd grade. 2nd and 3rd-grade teachers will be sharing more information on IREAD3 in the coming weeks. The image below provides a blueprint of the reading skills that are included on the assessment. If you have any questions on the IREAD3 assessment, please visit the Indiana Department of Education IREAD3 website linked here or contact your child’s school.

MSD Warren Township will be hosting its annual Teacher Recruitment Fair on Wednesday, February 28th. There will be an opportunity to participate either in person or virtually. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse, known as the "Great North American Eclipse," will trace a narrow path of totality across 13 U.S. states, including Central Indiana. As a result, all MSD Warren Schools will be closed this day, and students will have an asynchronous elearning day. Because this is the day after our spring intersession break, materials, learning activities, and special eclipse safety glasses will be sent home prior to the break. More information on the eclipse can be found linked here.

Thank you for your continued support and investments in Warren scholars, schools, and staff. #WarrenWill create Joy in the Journey.

Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
