MSD of Warren Township, in partnership with Ford Next Generation Learning and EmployIndy, hosts Envision Day
Transforming the Student Experience from PreK to 12th Grade in Warren Township
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, OCTOBER 3, 2023 - MSD Warren Township, in partnership with Ford Next Generation Learning and EmployIndy, hosted a successful Envision Day on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. This groundbreaking event focused on "the day after graduation" and how to ensure that ALL Warren students are prepared for either enrollment, enlistment, or employment. Several key stakeholders, students, teachers, building leaders, district leaders, parents, and community partners were invited to participate in this event.
"As we consider the Next Generation of Learners (NGL), with a realization that current Kindergartners will graduate in 2036, what knowledge, skills, attributes, and experiences do ALL Warren students need that are critical to their future success regardless of what path they choose?", said Doug Harter Districts 3E Grant & Community Partnership Coordinator.
Through engaging workshops, interactive exhibits, and hearing various perspectives from students, staff, and the community, Warren Township discovered a shared vision and expectations that will be a foundation for the next district Strategic Plan.
Warren Township is one of seven districts in the state to receive the 3 E(Explore, Engage, Experience) Grant and partner with Ford NGL to implement locally driven, strategic career pathways for their students. Warren Township is excited about the partnership with EmployIndy and the opportunities that together will open the doors to a world of possibilities for our students.
